BACKUP: (This makes #1 as it is the most important part of your business)
You must backup each & every day you are open for business.
It is recommended that in addition to your daily backup, a monthly backup should be made on the last day you are open for business in each month. This monthly backup should be labeled and, like all other computer backup devices, should be stored in a fire-proof container. (Or taken home) Taking this extra step insures that you will always have backup data available. (The Recommended Backup is on your CD or in the FAQ of this site)
REFERENCE INFORMATION: MANUAL60 & ONLINE TUTORIAL (This is "Manual60.pdf on your CD)
The manual should be on the desktop in case you have a question about the program. It's a tool that you will find helpful and need constantly.
When you install pawn power you will be asked if you want to include the tutorial. Say yes and you will have a complete tutorial program that you can
INVENTORY/INDEX PULL: (This is in all CAPS because it's important)
When doing index pull/reports, before you do the report make sure you have a backup from the night before. Everybody has to be out of pawn power if the pull index doesn't print due to a printer error, power failure or some other event, do not index again. Go to the main menu and press (i) for index. Then use the reprint inventory report instead. If you re-index to pull the inventory report again you'll just erase the last pull.
UPS POWER SUPPLY:
Computers and Printers should always be on a UPS. Make sure to have UPS backup on all computers - It is very important to keep your network and everything else working.
